Prom night!

Well Kamery is off to her first prom! Her date is Matt Stinson from Mesa. His parents drove him up to our house today. They are really great! They also brought their younger son Aaron, who is friends with Brady, and took them out to breakfast. Matt went with Kamery and Jace to play practice during the morning. Afteward they went out to Little Ceasar's for lunch. They came back home after that and watched the movie "Echanted" which of course goes with prom's "Fairytale Fantasy" theme. Matt hadn't seen it yet. Being a teenaged guy, I think he might have been less than thrilled over it! After the movie they met at the Raymond Brewer home to play games until 5 P.M. Then everyone split up to go get ready for the dinner and dance. At 6 o'clock the group met at Jim and Dorothy Ward's house to take pictures. Dorothy runs the newletter up here and has a nice camera. She is making a disk for all the kids. After taking pictures the group met at Kenneth and Hope Davis's house for a "Fairytale Mystery Dinner". The parents prepared the dishes. The menu did not list the actual items available, but names of fairytales. There was a book of stories on the table and the kids had to find the menu items in the stories. It looked like fun! I happen to know that the actual menu was featured around a chuckwagon theme. Chicken drumsticks, baked potatoes, pinto beans, rolls, green salad, and calliflower with cheese sause. Yum!! The kids should be dancing away by now. I hear the decorations at the dance are fantastic! Complete with castle and fog machine! I hope they are having a great time!!
