Getting Away from it all!

James and I decided to take a little "us" time and headed to beautiful Greer Lodge. We stayed in one of the Meadow Rooms for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. We got there late in the evening on Friday and headed straight to bed. When we got up in the morning one of the tires was flat on the mustang, so we put the spare on and headed into Eagar/Springerville to get it fixed. We went to breakfast while we waited for the tire at Booga Reds Restaurant which is a place that Aunt Kay had taken the kids and I to prior. The food there is so delicious and I wanted James to get to try it. We had a wonderful time visiting over breakfast. After we were done we went and picked up the tire and headed back to Greer. We then toured the grounds of the lodge. The creek and grounds were so beautiful. The grounds were just starting to green up for spring. It would have been a lovely day except for the awful wind. We had originally planned to go on a picnic lunch, but scrapped those plans after walking the grounds. The wind stirred up the dirt so much you could taste it! We ended up having lunch at the lodge restaurant instead, which wasn't a bad trade since their food was delicious also. We went back to our room after that. We had wanted to go on an afternoon hike, but since that was out of the question we resorted to plan B. We had brought a book to read just in case the weather wasn't cooperating. So we just hung out in the room reading/watching t.v./napping. We had mexican food from the Neon Moon restuarant for dinner which was sooooo yummy, and we also ordered a pizza to go so we would have something to eat in the morning for breakfast since it was Sunday and we didn't want to shop anywhere. We enjoyed a good night's rest before getting up early and heading home so we could be back for Stake Conference. It was a great time, for a great price and I recommend it to everyone!
